Terms of Use
Cancellations, Missed Appointments and No Shows

While we understand that sometimes appointments must be cancelled due to an emergency, we ask that you give us at least 24 hours' notice where possible, prior to appointment cancellation, as we have a waiting list of clients that can be filled with another pet in need of a groom. On the occasion that you have missed your appointment we have also been let down by an empty appointment slot and as a small business this has a negative impact on us financially.
We reserve the right to charge a $25 non-refundable deposit for appointments missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice payable prior to any future booking. Your deposit will go towards your pet's grooming services. If you miss your appointment for a second time, you will lose your deposit. Arriving 30 minutes or more late for appointments will in most cases require re-scheduling and a missed appointment fee of $25 will apply.
Additional charges may apply for the following reasons

-
Difficult Pets: Require additional time and staff to perform the job. We reserve the right to charge an additional fee for pets we deem difficult and that has resulted in more labor-intensive work.
-
Late Pickup Fee: Uncollected pets will be charged a sitting fee of $5 per 30min. Pet owners must be in the area between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM during weekdays to collect their pets within 30 minutes of being notified that the pet is ready to avoid any additional fees.
-
Extra Grooming: If your pet is left in our care for more than one hour after his grooming session has finished, your pet might pee or poop inside the crate and get itself dirty after having been groomed. Proof will be taken and any additional bathing and drying will be added to your bill.
-
Poorly Maintained Coat / Matted Hair: This requires additional time to perform the job. We reserve the right to charge an additional fee for pets we deem as matted that would have resulted in more labor-intensive work.
-
Uncollected Pets: If your pet is still not picked up within one hour after closing, APG will board your pet overnight and this will incur another $50 charge. If your pet is left more than an hour after closing more than once, APG will not continue to service your pet in the future.
These are the terms for which a pet can be accepted to Advance Pet Grooming

-
Under the Five Freedom Animal Health & Welfare Act 2006 a pet must be protected from pain, suffering, injury, and disease. I, the owner, grant permission for matted hair to be shaved off to prevent pain. I will be notified prior to performing this or any additional services. I understand that the staff at Advance Pet Grooming will not proceed to groom my matted pet without my approval.
-
Your pets and the safety of our team are of the highest importance at Advance Pet Grooming. Please bring your dogs on a leash and your cats in an individual Carrier. We reserve the right to refuse service to a pet if we deem their behavior to pose a risk to themselves or our team.
-
The pet is fit and healthy. (Grooming of sick or elderly pets is entirely at the owner’s risk. Grooming may expose underlying skin or health problems for which we cannot be held liable.)
-
The pet is vaccinated and up to date. An unvaccinated pet puts itself and others at risk.
-
I agree that the groomer will not be held liable or responsible for any mishap caused by the non-disclosure of my pet's medical condition or behavior.
-
It must be clearly understood and agreed that while every attention is given to your pet(s) they are accepted at the owner’s risk. Our first concern is for the welfare of your pet so in the event of injury or illness a vet may be called in and unless it can clearly be shown that we are liable, all costs in connection with and in the carrying out of this instruction shall be at the owner’s expense. (We recommend dog insurance)
-
Estimates are made on an average pet breed or type, but owners must be aware that some pets may require extensive extra work, and this will be charged extra. We will always notify you of any additional fees or services prior. Our prices are based on the following criteria: Size and breed Behavior and temperament Age (puppy or senior) Coat (thickness, undercoat, and matted hair) Haircut difficulty (custom and scissor cuts)
