Cristina began her career in animal care at a young age in her native Colombia, working as a veterinary assistant. In this role, she prepared pets for surgery, assisted with basic veterinary tasks, and gained valuable hands-on experience caring for animals.
She later completed professional pet-grooming training, where she developed the technical skills and styling expertise needed to create beautiful, breed-appropriate looks. Driven by her love for animals and passion for quality pet care, Cristina opened her own grooming business in Medellín.
After successfully operating her business for 10 years, Cristina moved to the United States and continued her career as a professional pet groomer in Miami Beach. In 2004, she became the owner of Advance Pet Grooming, where she continues to combine decades of experience, skill, and compassionate care to help every pet look and feel their best.
Isabella
Business Manager, Certified Pet Groomer, and Non-Anesthetic Dental Technician
Isabella grew up immersed in the world of pet grooming, watching her mother, Cristina, care for pets and helping with bathing, drying, and other grooming tasks from an early age. With formal training as an administrative assistant, she later joined the Advance Pet Grooming family, where she now contributes as the business manager and a certified commercial pet groomer.
Committed to continually developing her craft, Isabella continues to expand her experience and refine her advanced scissor-work and finishing techniques. She is also a trained dental technician and is responsible for performing non-anesthetic dental cleanings at Advance Pet Grooming. Her lifelong love for animals, administrative knowledge, attention to detail, and dedication to professional growth allow her to play an essential role in both caring for pets and supporting the continued growth of the family business.
